Education First Recruitment is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Bromley on a long-term basis. The role supports pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with 1:1 and small group work for SEND pupils, and close collaboration with teachers to deliver engaging lessons.

The ideal candidate has patience, a caring approach and strong behaviour management skills, with a genuine passion for helping children progress academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school, SEN, nursery or similar educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs and challenging behaviour.
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within the classroom and wider school environment.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities.
• Supporting pupils with their literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum development.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and participation.
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour where required.
• Helping pupils develop their social skills, independence and emotional well-being.
• Supporting classroom behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Working alongside teachers to adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
