Academics is recruiting Teaching Assistants for long-term roles in Cardiff across primary schools. Opportunities include 1:1 pupil support, general classroom assistance, and long-term placements to cover staff absences during the October-December term.

We work with a wide range of primary schools in Cardiff and can match your availability—whether you want five days, three days, or anything in between. Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience in line with client pay policies.

Qualifications

• Previous primary school Teaching Assistant experience
• Enhanced DBS
• EWC registration
• Right to work in the UK
• Relevant safeguarding and compliance checks

Responsibilities

• 1:1 support with individual pupils
• General classroom Teaching Assistant positions
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• One-to-one and small-group interventions
• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN where required
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities
• Supporting positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Assisting with classroom routines and preparation
• Working as part of a supportive school team
