Job summary

TeacherActive is searching for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a local Saffron Walden nursery on a long-term basis. The role offers either part-time or full-time hours with a minimum of £14.25 per hour and potential increases based on qualifications and experience.

Immediate starts are available, and candidates with notice periods are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will hold recognised Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualifications and have a background in Early Years.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is required.
• Experience in childcare and working with young children is preferred.
• Strong reliability and confidence in supporting children's learning.
• Ability to adhere to safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to children.
• Support children's development through play and engaging activities.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
• Support daily nursery routines.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent care.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies.
• Contribute to observations and children's learning and development.
