Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a local nursery in Saffron Walden to recruit a Nursery Practitioner. The role offers long-term stability with either part-time or full-time hours and a starting rate of £14.25 per hour, with increases based on qualifications and experience.

This is a hands-on Early Years position focused on supporting learning, development and daily routines while building strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years practitioner with Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Previous nursery experience and ability to support learning and development.
• Willingness to help create a safe, stimulating environment and follow policies.

Nurse Practitioner Saffron Walden

TeacherActive is working closely with a fantastic local nursery that is looking to welcome a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to their team. This is a long-term position for someone who wants to become part of a nursery, build strong relationships with the children and staff, and develop their career within Early Years.

The nursery is looking for someone who is passionate about childcare, reliable and confident in supporting children's learning and development.

The position

The ideal candidate

The nursery is ideally looking for a qualified Early Years professional with a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.

Suitable qualifications include

• Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualifications
• Level 3 Technical Certificate in Early Years Education
• Other recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualifications

Candidates without a formal qualification may also be considered where they have strong and relevant childcare experience.

This could include previous experience as a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Assistant, Childcare Assistant, Playworker, Teaching Assistant or another role involving regular work with young children.

Previous nursery experience and experience supporting children aged 0 5 would be advantageous.

The TeacherActive process

I will personally carry out an initial pre-screening interview with you to discuss your experience, qualifications, availability and what you are looking for from your next position.
