Job summary

Aspire People are seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a long-term primary teaching placement in Manchester and surrounding areas from November 2026 onwards. This is a fantastic chance to develop consistency, build strong relationships with pupils and staff, and gain valuable classroom experience.

The role involves delivering planned lessons, supporting pupil progress across the primary curriculum, managing behaviour, and collaborating with colleagues and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and UK teaching status.
• Recent UK-based school experience within the last two years, including placements or employment.
• Strong classroom-management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for class teaching in line with the agreed role.
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Supporting pupil progress across the primary curriculum.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom.
• Managing behaviour and establishing clear routines.
• Assessing learning and adapting teaching to meet pupils' needs.
