Leader Online Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team in Peterborough. You will be responsible for the safe, timely transport of goods, long-distance trips, and adherence to road safety regulations. A valid HGV licence and tachograph experience are essential.

Formación

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks.
• Excellent driving skills and road safety awareness.
• Basic mechanical skills for vehicle checks and minor repairs.
• Strong communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent team player with a “can-do” attitude.
• Experience in long-distance driving and knowledge of load securing techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Driving and Delivery: Operative HGVs (Class 1 or Class 2) to transport goods to various destinations; Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods as per the schedule; Follow designated routes and schedules; Always drive in line with statutory regulations.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to road safety and traffic regulations; Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; Comply with UK/EU driving regulations and Working Time Directive; Use Tacho and driving App; Promote safety for all.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance; Report defects; Ensure load stability and cleanliness; Do not smoke in vehicles.
• Documentation and record keeping: Maintain delivery records and mileage; Complete paperwork and obtain signatures.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and road users; Ensure secure loading and unloading.
• Company objectives: Support other areas; participate in process improvements; meet KPIs; be a Leader ambassador.
