Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Wastewater Asset Planner to own and drive the plan for a London wastewater system. You will work with cross-functional teams to prioritise interventions, update site plans, and align long-term input for regulatory Price Review planning.

The role focuses on asset health, capital maintenance, and delivering value to customers and the environment. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of asset management, and excellent communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management, engineering best practices and planning/forecasting.
• Confident communicator who builds strong relationships across teams and external stakeholders.
• Analytical and capable of presenting complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the wastewater asset plan for one of our London systems and supervise delivery through the sponsorship model.
• Develop and update integrated site plans, identifying interdependencies and sequencing interventions.
• Gather long-term strategic input from Asset Strategy for Price Review 29 planning.
• Prioritise projects for current and future AMPs with clear technical scope for submissions to gates.
• Create and manage system-wide plans across wastewater network, treatment and pumping.
• Deliver on Capital maintenance plans and ensure value in relation to asset health and incentives.
• Monitor asset condition, maintenance standards and forecast failure rates.
• Support external engagement to explain and align with strategic plans.
