Job summary

BW: Workplace Experts is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design and technical management process across multiple projects in London, coordinating consultants and subcontractors from inception to completion. The role focuses on ensuring design quality, technical compliance, and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

You will liaise with landlords, statutory bodies, and authorities to secure approvals, oversight of tender submissions, and post-tender design

Qualifications

Experience working on D&B and CDP projects with knowledge of building contracts.
Experience implementing and maintaining a design management system on site.
Strong understanding of the design process across commercial/construction stages.
Excellent written and verbal communication for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design management across multiple projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate consultants and sub-contractors to meet design milestones.
Prepare and review design strategies, programs, and information release schedules.
Conduct design audits at project start and monitor buildability and RFIs.
Chairs design meetings and maintains effective communication with clients and authorities.
