Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Parking/CPZ Engineer for a London borough on a contract basis to join the Traffic and Road Safety team. The role focuses on design and development of CPZs, on-street parking schemes and related highways initiatives.

You will use AutoCAD, prepare traffic orders and plans, and contribute to budget monitoring. On-site attendance is required three days per week, with strong communication to councils and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing parking schemes within a London environment.
• Strong understanding of Traffic Signs and General Directions.
• Ability to prepare traffic orders and public consultation plans.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CPZs and on-street parking schemes.
• Support the Traffic and Road Safety team with inquiries.
• Prepare consultation plans, traffic orders, letters and reports.
• Document design decisions for an audit trail.
• Monitor orders, invoices and payments to aid budgeting.
• Progress projects and liaise with senior engineers and stakeholders.
• Explain technical recommendations clearly to varied audiences.
