Job summary

Sally Europe is recruiting a District Manager to lead the Store Operations across London and Outer London, overseeing 19 stores. You will build cross-team efficiencies and act as a bridge between strategy and execution.

You will develop and lead high performing teams, manage the people agenda, drive sales and EBITDA, and ensure robust governance and inventory control. The role demands strong stakeholder engagement and change leadership across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a district/area operational manager within a multi-site retailer.
• Experience delivering plans with both short and long-term objectives within an organisation.
• Demonstrates commerciality and business acumen through opportunities and profitability.
• Ability to communicate effectively, remotely and build relationships quickly with team and stakeholders.
• Shows resilience and agility in leadership, adapting to changing business needs.
• Experience leading teams through change and driving results in challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and execute a District Business Plan focusing on sales, operational KPIs, costs and people.
• Understand external market and adapt plans to challenge competitors across stores.
• Utilise and analyse reports to maximise district performance and coach SMs on MI.
• Control EBITDA levers through robust cost management.
• Develop, own and drive the people agenda for the district: hiring, development and retention.
• Delivery of succession planning for district and support for wider territory.
• Identify development opportunities within the district and across the business.
• Ensure teams meet expectations through robust performance management and coaching.
• Drive execution of company processes, controls and operational management across stores.
• Build cross-functional relationships for the benefit of the business.
• Maintain inventory standards to optimise stock and minimise loss.
