Job summary

Nomura is seeking an Operations Oversight Associate in London on a 6-month PAYE basis. The role supports the Service Management team with day-to-day oversight of offshored and outsourced processes across F&O, Securities, FX, OTC and New Issues, focusing on risk mitigation and incident response.

The successful candidate will liaise with internal stakeholders, manage KRIs/KPIs dashboards, and participate in key projects including client money review and BCP/RTR coverage.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills enabling effective liaison with Nomura senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and highlight dependencies.
• Experience in finance operations and risk oversight.
• Familiarity with Fixed Income, Equities, OTC and FX markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide challenge and oversight to offshored and outsourced processes across F&O, Securities, FX, OTC and New Issues.
• Incident management including BAU escalation and major incidents from an Operations perspective.
• Monitor risk via daily KRIs and KPIs dashboards; drive process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Coordinate with Powai, India and other stakeholders to resolve issues and build networks.
• Client Money review and substantiation; ensure compliance with Operational Standards.
• Provide BCP/RTR coverage for offshore critical processes.
