Job summary

Geis Group is expanding in the Greater London area and seeks an experienced site/operations leader to drive day-to-day performance. You will coordinate staffing, oversee commercial processes, and support monthly closing, reporting and KPI insights to guide decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of UK regulatory requirements, and fluency in English. German is a plus for collaboration within the international Geis Group.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational, commercial or site-based management role, within logistics or freight forwarding.
• Good knowledge of commercial business processes, controlling and accounting.
• Initial leadership experience and interest in coordinating and developing employees.
• Understanding of UK HR, occupational health & safety and environmental compliance, or ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent English language skills; German language skills are an advantage for collaboration within our international group of companies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day operations and coordinate staffing requirements.
• Oversee commercial and administrative tasks, including monthly closing and monitoring income, expenditure and outstanding accounts.
• Prepare meaningful reports and KPIs to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate health & safety, environmental and sustainability compliance with internal teams and external partners.
