Job summary

PRS Recruitment Services is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Shift Engineer for a high-profile site in Piccadilly Circus, London. The role offers a lucrative £53,000 per annum package and a structured shift pattern, with long-term stability in a prestigious city location.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, respond to faults, and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
• Strong commercial building maintenance experience.
• Mechanical maintenance experience within a large or complex site.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work a shift-based role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently
• Maintain pumps, valves, AHUs, HVAC and associated mechanical systems
• Complete PPM schedules and maintenance records
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime
• Ensure all works are completed safely and to a high standard
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities team
• Support contractors where required
• Maintain compliance with health & safety procedures
