Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior/Principal Highway Engineer to lead a London hub within its Highways and Transportation team. The role manages a 5‑8 engineer team, nurtures client relationships, and drives projects for TfL and local authorities while staying hands-on technically.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways and transportation sector.
• Leadership, people management and client management experience.
• UK highway engineering background with CAD/asset management familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and line-manage a team of 5‑8 engineers, including appraisals and mentoring.
• Manage a portfolio of ~5 key clients and oversee the project pipeline.
• Remain hands-on with technical work and contribute to project delivery.
• Oversee highways and transportation projects from asset management to feasibility, design and construction support.
