Job summary

Capstone Recruitment UK is seeking a Development Manager in London to lead hotel refurbishment and capital projects across its UK portfolio. You will oversee budgets, design and procurement from feasibility to handover, reporting to the Development Director.

The role requires five years’ experience in project management or quantity surveying, with hotel refurbishment knowledge and MRICS being advantageous. Travel across the UK portfolio is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ relevant experience in project management or quantity surveying.
• Hotel refurbishment or conversion experience.
• Knowledge of cost planning, construction contracts, valuations, variations and final accounts; MRICS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, programmes, quality and delivery risk.
• Appoint and coordinate consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
• Lead procurement, tender reviews, value engineering and change control.
• Work with hotel operators to plan works around trading requirements.
• Support feasibility assessments, acquisition due diligence and future development opportunities.
• Prepare clear progress, cost and risk reporting for senior stakeholders.
