Job summary

Baxterstorey in Central London is seeking a hands-on Retail Manager to lead a busy department in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will drive service excellence, manage day-to-day operations, and mentor staff to deliver memorable workplace dining experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, English proficiency, and a proactive approach to cost control, KPI attainment, and client satisfaction within a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous experience of managing a large team in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Strong English (written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to health & safety standards and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of department.
• Manages day-to-day operations so that customer expectations of quality and standards are met daily.
• Assist in producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on service analysis and marketing effectiveness as required.
• Understand related KPIs related to own department and work towards achieving or exceeding them such as Mystery Shopper audits.
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritise and delegate when required, organise own workload.
