Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a driver for an 18T rigid vehicle to deliver goods mainly within the Greater London area. Expect 10–15 drops per route with occasional longer trips. No overnight stays. Start times vary per route and mandatory safety checks are required before each shift.

You will work with a driver’s mate, assist with deliveries, and use equipment like tail-lift and electric pump trucks. Excellent customer interaction is essential throughout the delivery and goods inspection process.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points (clean licence preferred).
• Current CPC card with up-to-date training (7 hours per year).
• Non-UK licence holders must exchange CPC/Tacho cards for UK equivalents before employment or renewal.
• Solid understanding of EU/Domestic tachograph regulations, including working hours, rest breaks, and driving time limits.
• Experience with delivery work in Central London.

Responsibilities

• Plan delivery routes with transport managers.
• Secure loads for safe transit.
• Monitor traffic and adjust routes to avoid delays.
• Complete delivery paperwork and logbooks as required.
• Load/unload goods with care and operate tail-lift equipment.
• Deliver to customers, verify accuracy, and obtain signatures.
