Job summary

Morgan Stanley in London is seeking an Associate to join the Fixed Income Cash Trade Support team within Trading Operations. The role supports EMEA desks across Investment Grade, High Yield & Distressed, European Commercial Paper, Emerging Markets, Structured Products, EU Government Bonds and Agency products, including listed futures and options.

You will verify trades within 15 minutes, monitor live books, resolve settlement issues, and support market events and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

General knowledge of Fixed Income products is preferable but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Task oriented and inquisitive; able to deliver items on time.
Ability to challenge processes and issues.
Ability to generate innovative ideas and drive solutions.
Able to prioritise a high volume of work in real time environment.
Strong risk awareness and escalation.
Good IT skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate affirmation of trades within 15 minutes and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
Monitor trader books in a live environment to ensure positions/risk are captured at execution.
Act as liaison with various teams and resolve issues; escalate as needed.
Own and resolve settlement fails and queries.
Support traders with market/lifecycle events and regulatory/compliance queries.
Deliver regulatory reporting and strengthen risk controls across the desk.
