Job summary

Millennium is seeking a diligent trade assistant to support a growing Fixed Income desk in London. You will capture risk across a broad product universe, fix trade details with PMs and brokers, and collaborate with Middle Office, Ops, Technology and Business Management to ensure accurate, timely processing.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in trade desk support, a strong interest in fixed income and derivatives, and a proactive mindset for process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a trade assistant or trading desk support role.
• Strong interest in Fixed Income and derivatives markets.
• Motivation to learn and support a broad range of traded products and PMs.
• Proactive approach to improving established processes and tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Adaptable and open to expanding the role as the business evolves.
• Familiarity with AI tools or large language models is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Capture traded risk accurately in booking systems across Fixed Income products.
• Serve as a key contact between Portfolio Managers and sales/brokers to finalize trade details.
• Partner with Middle Office, Operations, Technology, and Business Management to support trade processing.
• Monitor and improve trading book efficiency, including FX cash balance cleanups and transfers.
• Identify and deliver process enhancements that add value to PMs.
• Provide backup trade execution support for the PM team.
• Deliver front-line trading support as the team transitions to an independent fund.
