Job summary

Nexter in the Yorkshire region is seeking a Senior Consultant / Desk Lead to own the London desk from the Birstall office. You will monetise inbound permanent vacancies and aggressively scale the day-to-day temp book, with autonomy over candidate attraction and shift delivery.

This builder’s role offers a strong base and uncapped commission, with hybrid flexibility (up to 2 days remote) and a tight team of four delivering rapid results in a fast-paced market.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of consistent billing in fast-paced temporary recruitment (Education, Early Years, Healthcare, or Social Care).
• Ability to price temp margins, run fast-turnaround shift fills, and leverage relationships into exclusive temp supply.
• Leadership presence and ability to build and scale a desk with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Take absolute ownership of the London desk from the Birstall office.
• Monetise inbound permanent fees while scaling the day-to-day temp book.
• Attract candidates, deliver shifts, and execute with a view to growing into a delivery team lead.
• Hire and lead your own delivery team under you as the desk expands.
