Daniel Owen Ltd is recruiting a Compliance & Testing Engineer to support a growing portfolio of commercial buildings across London. The role is foot-mobile, focusing on statutory compliance, safety inspections and testing to keep buildings safe, compliant and well documented.

You will carry out statutory testing, emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring, door inspections and reporting defects to the maintenance team while supporting health and safety across the

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, compliance or building services.
• Methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Comfortable using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical and building systems.
• Strong organiser and record-keeping skills.
• Professional and confident when interacting with clients and occupiers.
• Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Committed to health and safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory compliance testing across commercial properties.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests.
• Perform fire alarm testing and inspections.
• Complete water temperature monitoring and flushing regimes.
• Undertake fire door inspections.
• Assist with dry riser inspections and testing.
• Record test results, photographs, certificates, and asset information accurately and promptly.
• Report defects, failures, and compliance issues to the maintenance team.
• Support ongoing health and safety and compliance requirements across the portfolio.
