Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is seeking a Compliance & Testing Engineer in London to support a growing portfolio of commercial buildings. This foot-mobile role focuses on statutory compliance, safety inspections, and testing to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant, and thoroughly documented.

You will conduct regulatory testing, inspect emergency lighting and fire alarm systems, and manage water hygiene activities while maintaining accurate records and reporting issues to the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
• Detail-oriented with good organisational skills.
• Comfortable using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical and building systems.
• Able to work independently and manage workload.
• Committed to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory compliance testing across commercial properties.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests.
• Perform fire alarm testing and inspections.
• Complete water temperature monitoring and flushing regimes.
• Undertake fire door inspections.
• Assist with dry riser inspections and testing.
• Record test results, photographs, certificates, and asset information accurately and promptly.
• Report defects, failures, and compliance issues to the maintenance team.
• Support ongoing health and safety and compliance requirements across the portfolio.
