Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join a busy operation based in Dalton, Thirsk. The role requires logistics and administrative experience, excellent IT skills and the confidence to liaise with drivers and support the wider operations team.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. The successful candidate will work with in-house systems and Microsoft Office, providing direct administrative support to Operations Managers and helping to ensure

Qualifications

• Previous logistics and administrative experience is essential.
• Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Friendly, polite and approachable manner.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with drivers and support inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Provide administrative support to Operations Managers.
• Use in-house systems and Microsoft Office packages.
• Complete general administrative duties and filing.
• Answer emails and phone calls.
• Support the wider logistics team to keep operations running smoothly.
• Work to targets and complete duties within timescales.
