Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own a major distribution and logistics transformation programme in Stoke-on-Trent.

You will turn the programme strategy into a practical delivery plan, coordinating multiple workstreams across operations, logistics, engineering, systems, technology, and external contractors. You will manage complex interdependencies, budgets and benefits while driving a future operating model for the DC.

Qualifications

• Proven end-to-end project management experience.
• Experience delivering operational change within a live/BAU environment.
• Strong project planning and critical-path management skills.
• Experience managing multiple, interdependent workstreams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including challenging senior stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and benefits.
• Strong understanding of Distribution Centre operations and live environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed operational plan for multiple exiting projects in a Distribution Centre.
• Coordinate the safe and controlled transition of operational activity.
• Develop project milestones, critical paths, dependencies and readiness criteria.
• Lead development of a future operating model for the remaining DC.
• Review and improve operational processes, capacity and productivity.
• Coordinate layout and operational flow changes.
• Build and maintain an integrated project delivery plan across workstreams.
• Manage RAID logs, governance, reporting and key decisions.
• Coordinate requirements around automation, infrastructure, engineering, systems and technology.
• Work with technical teams to ensure practical solutions for the operating model.
• Manage project costs, budgets and benefits.
