Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Team Leader will be responsible for supervising the warehouse and yard distribution function at Doncaster within clearly defined performance metrics, effectively managing day-to-day operational activity whilst continuously driving improvements in safety, service level and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with grade C / 4 or above in Maths and English and possess IT literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Operational leadership experience in a time sensitive warehousing operation is desirable in addition to a leadership and management qualification or willingness to work towards.
The postholder will hold excellent communication skills across all mediums with strong interpersonal and decision-making skills. A strong commercial awareness is also essential with a structured and organised approach to work with an ability to remain pragmatic and flexible under pressure.
A sound knowledge of warehouse management systems, including SAP is also desirable.
