Elis UK is seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Supervisor to join our Bishop Auckland site. This hands-on leadership role will oversee Drivers and Service Agents, ensuring a safe, efficient and compliant logistics operation.

You will work closely with the Logistics Manager, using operational data to identify improvements, optimise routes and control costs while developing your team for continued success in a busy distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory roles within logistics or transport.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to organise in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using data to monitor performance.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of Drivers and Service Agents.
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics to ensure service quality.
• Ensure operator licence and legal compliance for transport operations.
• Monitor fleet maintenance and driver documentation.
• Review data to identify trends and improve performance.
• Drive route optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage performance, absence, development and feedback.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Champion Health & Safety across the operation.
• Drive Lean improvements and smarter ways of working.
• Deputise for the Logistics Manager when required.
