Job summary

ASCO - Workforce Solutions is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the AFM CRP & Warehouse facility, its operations and the team. This role requires daily supervision of tasks, man-management, and ensuring client requests are handled efficiently while maintaining aviation security compliance.

You will coordinate freight handling, scheduling, and safety checks, supporting the Freight Manager with risk assessments and continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring billing systems reflect

Responsibilities

• Supervise Logistics Operatives - Heli-Freight and day-to-day operations.
• Motivate and delegate tasks to the team while monitoring performance.

• Coordinate transport and freight processing including manifesting and dispatch.
• Ensure systems are updated for accurate billing and reporting.

Job description

Participation is required in a one week in four on call rota, with additional on-call allowance payments and overtime remuneration applicable

Purpose:

Day to day supervision of the AFM CRP & Warehouse facility, operation and team.

General

• To ensure all daily operational tasks and processes are being carried out
• Managing and motivating Logistics Operatives - Heli-Freight
• To delegate duties and tasks to the Logistics Operatives - Heli-Freight
• Monitoring the CRP inbox to ensure all client requests are being actioned efficiently and in a timely manner
• Ensuring that all aviation security requirements are being adhered too
• Receipt, manifesting, screening, labelling and dispatching of freight
• Co-ordinating transport in support of AFM freight forwarding departments
• To ensure daily vehicle checks, forklift checks and monthly security checks are being carried out
• To ensure the warehouse rota is reviewed weekly, updated and distributed to the team monthly
• To assist Freight Manager with the review of departments risk assessments and procedures monthly
• To ensure all site plant and X ray machine is serviced regularly and all legislative / compliance documentation is kept up to date
• To assist warehouse manager with any client service failures and internal investigations
• To ensure all internal systems are updated to allow accurate billing

Minimum Qualifications

• 0 - 5T Counterbalance Forklift Certificate
• Dangerous Goods by Air training
• Dangerous Goods by Air (Radioactive)
• NXCT – National X-Ray Competency Test for Cargo Screeners training
• Manual handling awareness training
