Job summary

Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience (2–3 years preferred).
Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain environments.
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily logistics operations including driver coordination.
Ensure compliance with operator licence requirements and EU regulations.
Monitor logistics data to drive continuous improvement.
Optimise delivery routes to improve efficiency.
Ensure fleet maintenance schedules meet regulatory standards.
Lead and develop team members including drivers and service staff.
Manage performance through reviews and KPIs.
Maintain stock levels for operational continuity.
Support budget management and investigate cost variances.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements.
Drive operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily logistics operations including driver coordination, routing, and delivery performance
Ensure full compliance with operator licence requirements, EU regulations, and site standards
Monitor and analyse logistics data (e.g. TMS, telematics) to drive continuous improvement
Optimise delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Ensure fleet maintenance schedules and documentation meet regulatory standards
Lead, coach, and develop team members including drivers and service staff
Manage performance through reviews, KPIs, and disciplinary processes where required
Maintain stock levels for operational continuity (e.g. driver equipment and supplies)
Support budget management and investigate cost variances
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements
Drive operational excellence initiatives (e.g. Lean, 5S methodologies)
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service
