Job summary

KAEFER UK & Ireland is seeking a Stores Operative to join our Logistics and Stores team on a temporary fixed-term contract to cover maternity. The role is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Plymouth, supporting the Logistics and Resource Manager in coordinating assets, equipment, plant machinery and consumables for KAEFER contracts in the marine operation.

Responsibilities

Responsible for updating and reporting on delivery, inventory levels and dispatch requirements.
Responsible for monitoring carrier performance and reporting issues to the Logistics and Resource Manager.
Responsible for monitoring stock movements and providing information for monthly reports.
Enhance operational procedures and systems in information flow and management.
Move materials to meet customer demand and ensure correct placement.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Facilitate shipping of equipment between destinations and coordinate deliveries.
Oversee preparation of loads for shipment and highlight savings opportunities.
