Logistics Specialist

• Location: Castle Cary/Paddington/Slough/Waltham/Plymouth - UK based
• Working pattern: Flexible hybrid working
• Hours: 37.5 Hrs - Mon-Fri
• Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
• Contract: Fixed term - 12 Months

We are seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist to work with hauliers across Europe, managing deliveries for our European Key Accounts (EKA) Business Unit within Royal Canin. The role involves coordinating with multiple haulier partners to deliver over 75,000 tonnes of pet food annually from four European factories, ensuring effective communication and planning.

What are we looking for?

• Previous supply chain experience
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Excellent communication skills and multitasking ability
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or transport management systems (e.g., ERP systems like Navision, 1NAV, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Logistics experience in transportation, warehousing, or 3PL management (desirable)
• A proactive approach to operational performance and continuous improvement

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust Supply Plan to ensure consistent supply from factories to customer warehouses
• Monitor and collaborate with Logistics Service Providers to meet quality standards and resolve issues
• Build relationships to improve service, flexibility, and cost efficiency
• Lead logistics strategy to optimize costs and enhance service through lean and sustainable practices
