DPD Group UK is recruiting an experienced Logistics Shift Manager to join our fast-moving warehouse team in Smethwick. You will lead a small ops crew, drive daily pick-and-pack tasks, and deliver KPI outcomes under pressure.

The role emphasises safety, training, and adherence to HR and quality policies, with a focus on cost-to-serve improvement, service levels, and insightful reporting using standard IT tools. You will need strong communication, resilience, and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics operation with people management.
• Strong communication skills to inspire and lead a team.
• Decisive, time-efficient decision-making and problem-solving.
• Resilience, self-motivation and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to report and analyse data.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of operatives in day-to-day warehouse pick and pack operations.
• Oversee KPIs for productivity, costs to plan and accuracy of processes.
• Monitor and champion service levels and drive improvement activities.
• Follow and promote HR, Health & Safety, Quality, and housekeeping policies; ensure training requirements are met.
