Job summary

SearchWorks Pty Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead sortation operations at its London site. You will own a busy shift, manage a frontline team, and ensure safety, productivity, quality and service targets are met.

You will oversee parcel-sortation, coach operatives, allocate resources, and support recruitment and training while upholding health and safety standards and monitoring performance data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment, parcel delivery, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and performance targets.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• The ability to make calm, practical decisions under pressure.
• Confidence using data to identify problems and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing parcel-sortation operations throughout your shift.
• Leading, motivating and coaching a team of site operatives.
• Allocating people and resources according to operational demand.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training.
• Maintaining and improving health and safety standards.
• Monitoring performance data and addressing operational issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
