Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe environment, free from crime for visitors and colleagues. The role follows a full-time pattern with 4 on, 4 off shifts and other shifts to be discussed at interview.

The ideal candidate may hold an SIA licence or certificate (training for a licence may be provided). A full 5-year history is required; PC skills are expected to support depot operations and security tasks.

Qualifications

• 5-year checkable employment/education history required
• SIA licence or certificate preferred (licence training possible)
• Reasonable level of PC skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service
• Conduct patrols of the depot
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and visitors
• Utilise CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Liaise with depot management teams
• Deter theft (internal and external)
• Respond to on-site incidents and requests for assistance
• Highlight breaches of security procedures
• Gatehouse duties including vehicle check-in and supporting transport operations
