Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Logistics Security Officer in the United Kingdom to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe environment free from crime for visitors and colleagues. The role requires patrolling depots, operating CCTV systems, and liaising with depot management to ensure smooth security operations.

You should hold a current SIA licence or be eligible for training; the position is full-time with a 4 on/4 off shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Present valid SIA licence or eligible for training (preferred).
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a security role.
• Strong observation, reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry-leading customer service.
• Patrol depots and monitor security perimeters.
• Provide a visible security presence for colleagues, contractors and visitors.
• Utilise CCTV to support crime reduction and stock loss prevention.
• Liaise with depot management and other security staff.
• Deter theft and other security breaches.
• Assist with searches and access control as discussed at interview.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with client or emergency services.

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To conduct patrols of the depot
• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
• To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills
