Job summary

Surecall Recruitment is actively recruiting a Transport Clerk for a large UK logistics operation based in Islip, near Northamptonshire.

The role is in Kettering, 40 hours per week, 06:00–14:00, Wednesday to Sunday, with paid breaks. Salary is £28,400 per year plus £3,000 shift premium and a 30% weekend premium.

You will plan transport routes, coordinate with drivers and warehouses, analyse data in Excel, generate reports, and drive continuous improvements in transport efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous roles in a similar logistics environment
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and regulations
• Strong IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Familiarity with Paragon Transport Management System
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is advantageous
• Excellent organisation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transport routes efficiently.
• Analyse data and track KPIs using Excel.
• Prepare transport reports and support operational decision-making.
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and external partners.
• Identify improvements to transport efficiency and route planning.
