Job summary

Holcim UK is seeking a Logistics Planner to coordinate deliveries of aggregates and asphalt across the region. You will work closely with sales, customer service and operations to balance efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction, ensuring logistics run smoothly.

The role requires experience in logistics or planning, excellent organisational and communication skills, and proficiency with IT systems and logistics tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, planning, or a similar fast-paced administrative environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident in using IT systems and logistics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver optimised and integrated road logistics planning for aggregates and asphalt in line with KPIs and SLAs.
• Build strong relationships with haulage partners to ensure high-quality service.
• Deploy haulage resources effectively to fulfil customer orders.
• Liaise daily with customer service to anticipate and resolve issues.
• Negotiate haulage rates and maintain contract information.
• Review and operate logistics planning tools to support operations.
• Share real-time transport information with commercial and customer service teams.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, environment and quality standards.
