Job description

To plan, monitor and oversee the daily waste and welfare servicing routes for all drivers across the business. Overall responsibility for creating the routing schedules and making changes to daily coverage where necessary.
Duties/Responsibilities:

·Develop optimal servicing routes considering factors such as distance, traffic patterns, servicing time restrictions, and vehicle capacity

·Continuously monitor drivers’ progress throughout the working day

·Ensure routes are profitable while still maintaining customer satisfaction

·Define driver start times using forward planning for routes and site operating times

·Monitor roll over statistics and report to Waste and Welfare Operations Manager each day

·Monitor the accuracy of data entry to identify incorrect input of jobs and report inaccuracies to management for timely correction.

·Ensure customer requirements are met with timed services and provide driver information where required

·To liaise with key site stakeholders to help ensure the coordinated delivery of all Services, on a right first time basis

Required Skills/Abilities:

·A good understanding of logistical planning

·A good understanding of driver’s role and responsibilities – or willingness to learn

·A comprehensive understanding of HGV driving regulations

·Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

·Sector/Vehicle Planning experience and knowledge is essential

·Use of MS Excel and Outlook is essential

·Experience of Insphire is desirable
