Prysmian UK is seeking a Goods Inwards Operator to join our site in Wales. You will unload vehicles, inspect incoming goods, and record details into our SAP system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.

You will also manage Kan Ban movements, FIFO rotation, daily stock checks, and ad-hoc tasks while supporting the Materials Manager. A proactive, detail-oriented attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in Goods Inwards and use of SAP.
• Must manage data entry and documentation accurately.
• Attention to detail and numeric accuracy for stock records.

Responsabilités

• Off-loading vehicles at unloading doors and inspecting goods.
• Booking deliveries into SAP with correct transactions and data.
• Move goods between locations (Kan Ban) and track in SAP.
• Ensure FIFO rotation and perform cycle counting as directed.
• Daily stock checks, end-of-month activities, and ad-hoc tasks.

The Goods Inwards Operator is responsible in ensuring timely unloading of vehicles and storing the Items in the appropriate area whilst entering them in correctly on the system. They are also responsible for the flow of goods & scrap materials around site ensuring appropriate storage, spreadsheet & SAP transactions are happening.

Main Responsibilities

• Role Specific:
  • Off Loading of vehicles at the relevant unloading door
    • Ensuring vehicles are unloaded in a timely manner
    • Inspection of goods arriving to ensure they are in good condition
    • Checking documentation to ensure details and quantities are correct
    • Awareness of due list to ensure any preparation required has happened ready for the incoming delivery
    • All documentation is signed and put away in good order
  • Booking deliveries into SAP
    • Ensure all correct transactions are being used
    • Ensure all data is being added accurately
  • Kan Ban
    • Moving goods physically between required locations
    • Moving Goods on SAP to ensure accurate records of movements
    • Ensuring FIFO rotation is being used with all materials
    • Cycle counting – Rota issued by Materials Manager
    • OM inventory daily check and updating Materials Manager to order
• Covering roles in team absence
• Weighbridge ticket control
• Waste documentation Management
• Month end stock activities
• Ad-hoc activities as issued by departmental Manager

• Customer Service:Delivery a high level of service to internal customers, namely, planning, operations & controlling.
• Continuous Improvement:Always be reviewing processes to deliver continuous improvement to optimise the goods inwards department and cost reduction activities.

The Person

• Experience:Previous experience working in a Goods Inwards Department and use of SAP.
• Pressure Management:Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to meet demanding deadlines.
• Technical Skills:Keen attention to detail. Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office Applications and SAP and inventory management.
• Attitude: A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and embrace change.
