Job summary

Greenjets in Milton Keynes is seeking a Logistics Operative to manage the receipt, storage, control and dispatch of materials, parts and equipment. You will ensure stock accuracy and maintain a safe, well-organised stores environment.

You will work with procurement, production, engineering and operations to support warehouse efficiency and timely deliveries, following health and safety policies and best practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, stores, logistics, or inventory environment.
• Good understanding of stock control processes.
• Ability to use inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic numerical and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Accurately store materials, tools, components, and equipment within designated locations.
• Pick, pack, and issue stock items in accordance with operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or ERP systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages.
• Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare shipments and associated documentation for dispatch.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the stores area.
• Adhere to company health & safety policies and warehouse procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with procurement, production, engineering, and operations teams.

• Basic numerical and literacy skills.

Desirable

• Experience within aviation, engineering, manufacturing, or technical stores environments.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Knowledge of aviation parts traceability and documentation requirements.
