Job summary

Greenjets Limited in Wolverton is seeking a Logistics Operative to ensure efficient receipt, storage, control and dispatch of materials. You will maintain stock accuracy, support operations and keep the stores safe and organised.

The role involves receiving deliveries, storing items, picking and packing, using ERP/WMS, conducting stock counts and reporting discrepancies. You will work with procurement, production, engineering and operations teams to improve warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications

About the Job:

The Logistics Operative is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of materials, parts, and equipment. The role ensures stock accuracy, supports operational requirements, and maintains a safe and organised stores environment.

What You'll Do:

• Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.




• Accurately store materials, tools, components, and equipment within designated locations.




• Pick, pack, and issue stock items in accordance with operational requirements.




• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or ERP systems.




• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits.




• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages.




• Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.




• Prepare shipments and associated documentation for dispatch.




• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the stores area.




• Adhere to company health & safety policies and warehouse procedures.




• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency.




• Work collaboratively with procurement, production, engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

Essential

• Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores, logistics, or inventory environment.




• Good understanding of stock control processes.




• Ability to use inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.




• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.




• Good organisational and time management skills.




• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




• Basic numerical and literacy skills.

Desirable

• Experience within aviation, engineering, manufacturing, or technical stores environments.




• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or willingness to obtain one.




• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.




• Knowledge of aviation parts traceability and documentation requirements.
