Job description

Logistics Operative - Luton

We are seeking a Logistics Operative to join our team at the Luton site. This role involves managing various aspects of Manufacturing Logistics, including Goods-Inwards, Stores, Customer Owned Equipment, Shipping, and Inspection.

Responsibilities

1. Processing of Received Goods: Ensure the efficient processing of all materials through goods in and inspection, adhering to service levels and processes.
2. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy, ensure proper storage and handling of goods, oversee disposal of redundant inventory, maximize storage efficiency, and conduct stock audits and cycle counts.
3. Shipping: Process outgoing deliveries accurately and ensure packaging is fit for purpose before dispatch.
4. Inspection: Conduct timely and accurate inspections of incoming deliveries in line with SLAs and business processes.

All employees are expected to be flexible and undertake additional duties as directed by their line manager to meet business needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Good personal, interpersonal, organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Strong monitor/evaluator and coordination skills.
• Tenacious with good problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. SHE awareness is also required.

Education

• Secondary education with a minimum of O-level/GCSE in Mathematics and English.

Experience

• Experience in Goods-Inwards Receiving, Despatch, Stores, or warehouse environments is preferable; full training will be provided.
