Logistics Operative / Basildon / £14.55 per hour

Our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their Logistics Team. The successful candidate will perform various tasks to support the efficient movement of materials through our hub, ensuring we meet business requirements and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pick and put away inventory accurately.
2. Process incoming goods receipts.
3. Conduct inventory checks.
4. Pack deliverable items.
5. Handle customer repair receipts.
6. Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
7. Deliver goods to different sites.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, or stock management.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar systems.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• Security Clearance (SC).

Desirable Skills and Certifications:

• Forklift and reach truck certification or in-house experience.
• Pallet stacker truck and MEWP certification.
• Previous experience within Aerospace or Defence sectors.

Additional Skills:

• Computer literate.
• Organised with a neat work ethic.
• Manual dexterity.
• Physically fit and agile.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• UK national willing to undergo security vetting.

This is a 6-month temporary contract with the potential for extension.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 pm to 3:30 am, and 12:30 pm finish on Friday.
