The Consultant is a subject matter expert in the functional area of Trade Compliance, focusing on international trade flows and import/export documentation and brokerage activities. This role requires strong leadership skills and a process-oriented mindset to manage complex operations within the EMEA region effectively.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance within trade compliance, focusing on international trade flows, import/export documentation, and brokerage activities.
- Complex Operations Management: Manage and lead complex operational projects across EMEA in a matrix organization, demonstrating high independent judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Process Excellence: Champion process orientation and drive excellence, effectively managing complexity and changes in operational processes.
- Customer-Focused Collaboration: Foster an end-to-end, customer-focused mindset, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including 3PLs, CCAs, customs, and governmental authorities through influence-based leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, driving best practices in trade compliance management to enhance overall value for Johnson & Johnson.
- Financial Acumen: Apply strong financial management and budgeting skills to influence trade compliance strategies and outcomes.
- Results Orientation: Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering on key strategic initiatives within trade compliance.
- Analytical Mindset: Employ a process-oriented and analytical approach to assess process flow analytics, where lean certification is considered an asset.
- Project and Change Management: Exhibit strong project management and change management skills, ensuring smooth transitions and implementations of trade compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCS, CAMS) is a plus.
- Experience: Experience in trade compliance or relevant fields, with focus on EMEA operations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
- Proven ability in stakeholder management and influence-based leadership.
