Job summary

Brook Street is assisting a well-established logistics business in Morley to recruit a Transport & Logistics Coordinator. The role focuses on coordinating UK deliveries, bookings and daily planning within a busy operations team.

You will liaise with transport providers, monitor movements, resolve delays and maintain transport records. The ideal candidate has logistics experience, strong IT skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience within transport planning, logistics coordination or supply chain operations.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with ability to build cross-department relationships.
• Proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate UK deliveries and collections with transport partners and subcontractors.
• Manage transport bookings, schedules and daily planning activities.
• Monitor vehicle movements and provide delivery updates to customers and internal teams.
• Liaise with warehouse, transport and operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day running.
• Resolve delivery delays, scheduling issues and operational queries.
• Maintain accurate transport records, proof of delivery documentation and system updates.
• Conduct driver debriefs and record any damages, shortages or incidents.
• Build strong relationships with transport providers and key stakeholders.
• Support vehicle utilisation, route efficiency and cost-effective planning.
• Assist with reporting, KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, transport regulations and health & safety standards.
