Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking a dynamic Logistics Operations Manager to lead a Leeds-based team and drive continuous improvement in transport and depot operations. You will manage staffing, schedules and costs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across all activities.

You will apply strong leadership, analytical thinking, and ICT skills to deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure legal compliance for drivers and vehicles.
• Conduct performance reviews, training and disciplinary procedures.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead our Logistics team in Leeds. You'll lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with all legal and safety standards.

Location: Leeds (WF6 1RY)Contract: Full Time/PermanentShift: Monday-Friday (40 hours)Salary: Competative Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Manage depot operations, including rota planning, staffing, and cost control.
• Deliver against KPIs and OGSM targets.
• Drive customer service excellence for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure legal compliance for drivers and vehicles.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and disciplinary procedures.
• Drive an inclusive culture and ensure Wellbeing, diversity and Inclusivity events are actively promoted at site level.

QualificationsEssential:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (A-C or equivalent)Licence CPC Certification to Transport manager certificate of professional Competence.
• IOSH CertificationDesired:Experience in milk or food logisticsFamiliarity with unionized environments (e.g., USDAW).
