Job summary

Defence Equipment & Support is seeking a Logistics and General Munitions Support Operative to manage receipt, storage, issuing and inventory of munitions aligned with UK defence needs. The role involves operating MHE, adhering to safety rules, and working within security and quality standards at Beith.

You will be trained on explosives handling and stores accounting, with site-based hours and potential for flexible patterns. A UK driving licence and eligibility for SC clearance are required.

• IT proficient including Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle munitions and explosives safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Handling Instructions.
• Perform pre-use checks on Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain high standards of security, cleanliness and housekeeping in stores.
• Support logistics and storage activities to meet customer requirements on time.
