Job summary

We are excited to present a rare opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our Fishtoft warehouse. You will lead day-to-day operations, coordinating transport, stock and staff to ensure timely deliveries and efficient processes.

Based in a family-run business with regional presence, you will work with cross-functional teams, implement improvements and uphold health and safety standards. 45 hours weekly with occasional extra hours. Includes pension and parking benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport management or logistics.
• Experience coordinating fleet operations and couriers.
• Ability to plan, schedule and monitor deliveries effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transport and logistics activities, including planning deliveries.
• Coordinate with Sales and Warehouse to ensure timely order preparation and dispatch.
• Liaise with external couriers for deliveries outside normal geography.
• Manage incoming deliveries and staffing for unloading containers.
• Oversee stock levels and re-order requirements.
• Develop logistics, warehousing and stock processes to support growth.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and health & safety procedures.

We are excited to present a rare opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join the team at our warehouse based in Fishtoft.

Our Fishtoft Warehouse is the only one out of our five warehouses who solely supply agricultural tyres. Our OE (Original Equipment) team based here build up wheel and tyre orders for a wide customer base across the UK.

What does this role involve?

As the Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day site operations, including but not limited to;

• Managing day-to-day transport and logistics activities, including planning and scheduling deliveries
• Liaising with the Sales and Warehouse teams to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched in a timely manner
• Coordinate with external couriers for deliveries outside of our normal geography
• Manage incoming delivery dates and arrange staff cover to ensure appropriate cover is in place for unloading containers
• Managing stock levels and re-order requirements
• Develop and improve logistics, warehousing and stock management processes to support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Monitor working practices and processes to ensure company policies and H&S procedures are adhered to

You will be supported in this role by a number of key personnel within the company and whilst full training will be given, knowledge/experience within the tyre industry is essential.

Proven experience in transport management, fleet operations, logistics management, or vehicle compliance is desirable but not essential.

This role is 45 hours per week within our operating hours, however, additional hours may occasionally be required for the needs of the business.
