Job summary

Madigan Gill is recruiting a Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and manage all site logistics on a large residential development, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of people, materials, plant and waste while supporting the construction programme.

You will develop Logistics and Traffic Management Plans, manage deliveries, cranes and hoists, coordinate site logistics and welfare, and ensure safety and environmental compliance across the project.

Qualifications

• Proven logistics management experience on large construction projects.
• Residential, high-rise or multi-block project experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Logistics and Traffic Management Plans.
• Manage site access, deliveries, loading/unloading areas and material distribution.
• Coordinate cranes, hoists, forklifts and other logistics plant.
• Plan logistics requirements against the construction programme and short-term look-aheads.
• Manage logistics subcontractors, traffic marshals, hoist drivers and site logistics operatives.
• Coordinate site establishment, welfare, security, signage and pedestrian routes.
• Manage waste removal, housekeeping and material storage.
• Ensure vehicle and pedestrian movements are safely controlled and segregated.
• Coordinate logistics requirements with construction managers, package managers and subcontractors.
• Identify upcoming logistics constraints and implement solutions before they affect programme.
• Monitor logistics costs, labour and plant utilisation.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with project health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with local authorities, neighbours and other stakeholders where required.

Experience & Skills

• Proven logistics management experience on large construction projects.
• Residential, high-rise or multi-block project experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
• Experience managing deliveries, cranes, hoists and material movement.
• Strong leadership, planning and coordination skills.
• Commercially aware with a focus on safety, productivity and programme.
• SMSTS and appropriate CSCS qualification preferred
