Job summary

VanRath Belfast is seeking a Transport Line Manager to lead a busy transport team within a fast-paced operation. You will drive performance, ensure legal and safe deliveries, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimise efficiency.

The role requires CPC certification and strong knowledge of transport legislation, with 3+ years in national logistics and a track record of budgets and KPIs. Rotational shifts and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above).
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in a national logistics environment with multiple weekly deliveries.
• At least 1+ year's experience managing a large transport team within a fast-paced, customer-focused operation.
• Valid Transport Managers CPC (National & International).
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, tachographs, H&S and HACCP.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs and data analysis.
• Proficient with PC applications; familiarity with IT software such as Stratum and CSNX is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

• Manage daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are efficient, legal and compliant.
• Oversee health and safety standards and promote best practice across the team.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational effectiveness.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and KPIs.
• Support strategic planning and continuous improvement across the transport function.
