Job summary

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is recruiting for an Assistant Logistics & Materials Management Support Officer (Band 3) based at Bridgend Central Stores. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), and covers multiple NHS Wales sites as required.

Key duties include supporting the rollout of inventory systems, performing stock checks and data entry, and maintaining accurate records. Welsh or English speakers are welcome, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Demonstrate literacy and numeracy.
• Working knowledge of systems and procedures.
• Stock control systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the Stock Management System and the Scan for Safety programme across Health Board sites.
• Assist with implementation and go-live activities, stock reviews, stock counts, data collection, stock labelling and data entry.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with reporting in line with established procedures.
• Communicate with colleagues, suppliers, clinical and non-clinical staff; respond to routine enquiries and provide information as required.
• Follow established policies and escalate issues to senior team members.
